It is electrically a super-set of desktop PCI with a different physical
form factor. Compact PCI utilizes the Eurocard form factor popularized by
the VME bus.
The CPCI-DPS7, Dual Pentium CompactPCI Board with Intel's
long-life 440HX chipset is an ideal solution for applications requiring a
rugged foundation, powerful processing capability, and long term
availability.
With Dual Pentium processor support up to 233 MHz (266MHz
Reserved), up 512MB EDO RAM, Onboard VGA, and up to 14 Compact PCI slot
support, the CPC-DPS7 takes advantage of the latest advanced technology.
The CPC-DPS7 utilizes a built-in fault tolerant system
architecture for both dual and single processor environments:
Dual Processor Environment:
Remaining CPU takes over all tasks, and resumes the ongoing
mission after system reset by watchdog timer
Single Processor Environment:
If primary CPU fails the secondary CPU will take over all tasks
after system reset by watchdog timer |
