CompactPCI is the newest specification for PCI-based industrial computers.
It is electrically a super-set of desktop PCI with a different physical
form factor. Compact PCI utilizes the Eurocard form factor popularized by
the VME bus.
The CPCI-DPII, Dual Pentium II CompactPCI Board is the most
extensive solution available in the Compact PCI arena. With Dual Pentium II
processor support up to 333MHz, p to 512MB EDO / SDRAM, ONboard VGA, and
up to 14 CompactPCI slot support, the CPC-DPII takes advantage of the
latest advanced technology.
The CPC-DPII utilizes a built-in fault tolerant system
architecture for both dual and single processor environments:
Dual Processor Environment:
Remaining CPU takes over all tasks, and resumes the ongoing
mission after system reset by watchdog timer
Single Processor Environment:
If primary CPU fails the secondary CPU will take over all tasks
after system reset by watchdog timer |
